Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to get involved with the Richmond Symphony? Would you like to see one of our concerts for free? Are you dependable? If you answered yes to these questions, we have the volunteer opportunity you are looking for.

The Richmond Symphony is always in need of dependable volunteers to usher at our concerts. Ushers report to the concert venue approximately 1 ˝ hours before the performance to meet with the House Manager. At that time, usher assignments will be assigned (Program distribution, Ticket Taker, Aisle Monitor etc.) and programs will be stuffed with any announcements. Ushers will then assist patrons to their seats until the concert begins.

Ushers are permitted to enjoy the concert after all patrons are seated. Ushers will also receive “Symphony Dollars”, for every concert they usher, which can be applied toward ticket purchases. (Some restrictions apply.)
